    Hackathon day one

The ASF hackathon is about face time, and I got plenty of it today:
I spent some time talking with Cliff Schmidt about open source in general. Ben Laurie spent some time enlightening me on the his work on integrating capabilities into Python, Pierpaolo Fumigalli showed me his Aluminum Powerbook and made me wish (again) that Apple would hurry up and ship mine. James Strachan and I had a wide ranging dinner conversation that lasted until 11pm. The topics included Groovy, CodeHaus, the ASF, Java, and more.
